As a mixed media artist my intention is to engage the viewer by reinterpreting conventional techniques with traditional and nontraditional materials.  Through the use of fabric, metals, concrete, and birch bark I create wall reliefs, wire and glass mobiles,vessels,and free standing sculptures.  The visual images are inspired by the repetitive patterns found in nature, commercial fabrics, architecture, and industry.  The structural materials such as concrete, nails, and wood , serve as a critical element in the visual impact of the finished piece, as well as explores the interaction between man and nature.
